We left Rockford after taking care of Molly and then taking Diamond to the Doggy Motel.
Finally got started at 8:57--made it all the way to Rochelle before we stopped at McD's for my breakfast and coffee.
Kept on going on I88 then on I80. Crossed the Mississippi into Iowa. switched driving back and forth.
Iowa is pretty boring--nothing unusual happened. Crossed into Nebraska and Omaha. We did get a Nebraska map to add to our collection. Nebraska is also very boring
We started our state license plate log--ended up with 27 states after the first day.
Talked to Jenna--they are at Arlington National Cemetery today.
We stopped for the nite at Kearney. Quit at 8:10
